The Overflow
In this message, Bishop Francis Wale Oke preached about the overflow. He said that the overflow is a realm that God moves us to and we live in for the rest of our lives. He also said that the anointing may meet us poor, but it won’t leave us poor.
Bishop Oke explained that the overflow is characterized by wealth, favor, change of name, change of status/level, and change of garment. He said that when we are connected to the overflow, we must service it with diligence, wisdom, prudence, and tithing and generosity towards God.
What is in the Overflow?
- Wealth: The overflow is characterized by wealth. When we are connected to the overflow, we will experience financial prosperity. We will have more than enough money to meet our needs and to bless others.
- Favor: The overflow is also characterized by favor. When we are connected to the overflow, we will experience God’s favor in all areas of our lives. We will find that doors are opened to us that would otherwise be closed. We will also find that people are more willing to help us and to do business with us.
- Change of name: The overflow also brings about a change of name. When we are connected to the overflow, we will be given a new name that reflects our new identity in Christ. This new name will be a source of blessing and power in our lives.
- Change of status/level: The overflow also brings about a change of status/level. When we are connected to the overflow, we will be elevated to a new level of prominence and influence. We will be able to make a greater impact on the world around us.
- Change of garment: The overflow also brings about a change of garment. When we are connected to the overflow, we will be clothed in new garments of righteousness and prosperity. These garments will reflect the new life that we have in Christ.
How do you service the Overflow?
- Diligence: When we are connected to the overflow, we must service it with diligence. This means that we must be hardworking and committed to using our resources for the glory of God. We must be wise stewards of our money and we must be generous with our giving.
- Wisdom: We must also service the overflow with wisdom. This means that we must be careful with our money and make wise investments. We must also be wise in the way that we use our influence and our resources.
- Prudence: We must also service the overflow with prudence. This means that we must be careful not to waste our resources and that we must be generous with our giving. We must also be careful not to be prideful or to let our wealth control us.
- Tithing and generosity towards God: Finally, we must service the overflow with tithing and generosity towards God. This means that we must give back to God a portion of our increase as an act of worship and thanksgiving. When we tithe and give generously, we are opening ourselves up to even more blessings from God.
If you want to experience the overflow, I encourage you to connect to God and to live a life of obedience, faith, and service. When you do these things, you will experience the wealth, favor, change of name, change of status/level, and change of garment that are part of the overflow.
